Instead of the city that never sleeps, Kuala Lumpur is more accurately described as the city that never stops eating. The inhabitants not only liked the food, they are obsessed with food. They live for food, not eat to live.

Although the amount of food they consume is amazing, the quality still takes precedence over quantity. It's great for visitors to KL, as it is easy to get good food and cheaper all the time. Cultural eating 24 hours means we can eat six to seven times each day.

The most popular way to start the day by eating bread is rolled, a smooth flat bread, served with curry sauce. This bread originally came from southern India, and is now widely found in restaurants mamak (Indian Muslim restaurant), food is hard to miss. Rolled bread has many variations, including serving with eggs, onions and bananas, but a simple rolled bread remains the most delicious.

Entering at 11, most people in KL are hungry again, and that's when Rice appears fat. Basic ingredients are rice cooked with coconut milk, served with boiled egg, cucumber slices, bleary fish, beans, and chili.

Exactly at 12.30 am all the workers put their working tools and went looking for lunch. Often, the lunch menu is white rice, which is equipped with a dish that had been prepared previously. Usually the food menu is divided in three different themes, themes Malay (with the main meal of meat and fish), China (with a lighter menu, not too spicy, and more vegetables) and Indian menu (spicy curries and pickles, mostly vegetarian).

Lunch menu is another common laksa, a spicy noodle served with various variations. Two types are most often found in KL is the curry laksa, which uses coconut milk, and sour laksa, which is dominated by a sour taste due to the use of tamarind.

It seems hard to believe, but the residents of the TOS is always thinking about food when it enters at 10 or 11 o'clock at night. Sate menjad popular snacks. Despite dwindling food choices close to dawn, but there is always a possibility to enjoy a plate of fried noodles or fried rice. And it all back, with the end of this marathon culinary tour with more to enjoy the bread rolled.
