Ukrainian scientists developed the explosive destruction technology which uniquely uses bacteria, researchers said Gennady Baranov.
The bacteria require 15 to 115 days to "change" of explosives into fertilizer fertilizer, say researchers who collaborated with the Laboratory of Biochemistry at the Institute of Nuclear Power's Sevastopol.
"The technology consists of an organic structure that eat explosives and chemicals that produce the original fertilizer fertilizer," said Baranov.
He replied, "We can destroy ammunition from the Great War (World War II) is effectively in the field to pour the mixture to the artillery shells and then the bacteria directly eat the explosives and leave the metal content that can be recycled."
The technology has been patented, but its composition secret, said Baranov.
